Hi felafel, yes, I understand that spearfishing is illegal in Bahrain. Nonetheless, there are a lot of people that go spearfishing, free diving and scuba diving with spearguns around the place and who catch a lot of very large Queenfish, Fascar, Sbeyti and Hammour. If your looking for a good spot, I have heard that if you drive to amwaj and swim across to the amwaj wall (circles the whole of amwaj and is hard to miss), on the other side you can catch some very decent fish. The shipping channels are also good places to go though you do need structure. Ive heard its best to keep an eye out for Barracuda but there are no sharks close in around Bahrain!!

Senor Pacos has rubbish food but the atmosphere is great on a Thursday or Friday night. The Margaritas are fantastic!

I think Abdullah means Sato above but it is definately the best in Bahrain! Maki is good if you want something a little different as they do some fusion things. If you dont want to break the bank, try one of the Sumo restaurants, the one in Juffair (Main street opposite Nandos) is outstanding and cheap.
