Auction set to raise funds for Bring Adam Home drive

GIFTS, services and goods are being sought for an auction to help fund an ongoing custody battle.

The Bring Adam Home campaign was launched in 2009 by Rebecca Jones after her then 10-year-old son, Adam, was taken from her in Doha, Qatar, by his father’s family.

She has been battling to get him back ever since and is now trying to raise BD5,000 so her son, whose father died in 2005, can petition the Qatari courts in order to return to Bahrain to live with his mother, stepfather and half-sister.

Ms Jones is appealing to individuals and businesses that may be able to offer an item, experience or service to be auctioned at the fundraising event on December 10.

“I would just like to extend a big thank you to everyone, parents, families and local residents and businesses for their generosity in pledging support and donating goods and promises to be auctioned,” she said.

“Without your help the auction would not happen and much-needed funds would not be raised to help us bring our beautiful son home.

“Thank you all for your support.”

The Auction of Promises will take place from 7.30pm until 11pm at the InterContinental Regency Bahrain’s Al Rifaa Ballroom.

Tickets cost BD20, which includes dinner and soft drinks, and can be purchased by calling 38394524 or by e-mailing
