Art exhibition to explore change

AN exhibition by a French-Bahraini artist will open on Sunday.

The exhibition, Sleeping Beauty, will be held at the Bin Matar House in Muharraq and features pieces made by embroidery on fabric, presented as installations.

Paris-based artist Christine Khonjie is inspired by Roman poet Ovid’s famous work Metamorphoses, and the idea of change.

It is also inspired by sleeping beauty, who the artist sees as an example of subconscious transformation.

The exhibition will open at 7pm and will continue until January 4.

Opening times are Saturday to Thursday, 9am to 1pm and 4pm to 7pm
